Amazon Prime users who would rather avoid the ad breaks will need to pay an additional $2.99 a month for a commercial-free subscription.

Sad really sad.

IMHO the 2 reasons for streaming are:

#1 content on demand
#2 content without annoying commercials

so Amazon is following others and taking away ONE of the reasons to use their service.

Given that Amazons other 'Prime Features' now have 'pay/spend gates' (IE: free overnight shipping only on orders OVER $xx) as well as others, it is becoming questionable the benefits of 'Prime' membership.
