Teclast M50 Pro review: Lots of tablet for under US$200

You can spend hundreds of dollars on an Android tablet. Or in the case of the Teclast M50 Pro, less than US$200. Despite its low price, the 10.1-inch Android 13 tablet offers a surprisingly comprehensive range of features and solid mid-range performance.

This tablet does ONE thing right, which is the UNISOC T616 CPU instead of its cheaper cousin the UNISOC T610.  The T610 CANNOT play Genshin Impact without stutter lag and frame loss.  The T616 doesn't have any of this issue.  The T616 can be considered to be the BARE MINIMUM if you game on your tablet (Meanwhile everyone else already moved on to the UNISOC T618, I wonder why Teclast doesn't follow suit is it just to cut a slight corner?)...

My first impressions after having this tablet for a week are positive. I purchased it largely based on the quality of this review. The system feels snappy, the storage capacity is fantastic and the screen, bright and clear. I've not pushed it hard as I'm not interested in gaming, but the experience in Chrome and with the lightweight stuff I'm doing with it has been excellent. Disney+ installed without any concerns so seems it has appropriate certification for HD streaming which I know can be an issue with cheaper devices. My only concern is the battery seems to go down faster than expected, but I've also been installing a lot and such so perhaps that'll settle once I get into a regular use routine.

I paid about £120 for mine from Aliexpress; substantially less than the $200 in the article and am honestly delighted. I'd be interested in picking up a stylus to use with it if I could confirm which one might work!
