Intel's new 14th gen Raptor Lake-S Refresh parts are now official. The lineup, led by the 24C/32T Core i9-14900K for US$589, is an incremental upgrade over the current Raptor Lake-S parts. New features in this generation include Application Optimization, support for DDR5-8000 XMP 3.0, and a new 20C/28T Core i7-14700K SKU.

It is almost comical that their marketing department also included benchmarks comparing their new products to obviously gimped products from team Red to be able to show ANY advantages.

Gosh - does anyone else recall when a 'i7' was a mere 4C/8T device?

Maybe someday team Blue will 'wake up' and actually start 'innovating' and pushing the limits of their own crappy x86 architecture but I'm not holding my breath.
