But the Tesla still has better range with a similar sized battery.
I'm a future ID.4 owner, but "measured Vs official range" doesn't matter, except in a legal context. Tesla is more efficient, that's their main strength. The have good efficiency compared to other cars in their classes.

Which Model Y? There are so many configurations, with some having different battery chemistries. Was it a sold as a "long range" varient?

absolutely. And what size wheels spec. Makes a difference as well as who drives etc etc. Its all b/s when you think of all the variables. Its just junk journalism.
