I agree with everyone here the author should be fired, demoted, or quit taking drugs before writing up their headlines and summary. LOL!
1 - As noted, PWM screen flickering of 50 Hz should prevents this laptop from being recommended and HP should be ashamed they put a consumer laptop with it out on the market.
2 - The multi-threaded performance of the laptop with the Intel i7-1355U in CBR15 under extended thermals is 56% (1030/1834) of either the 5825U (2+ year old processor) or the 6800U in the AMD equivalent laptop. Almost half! Literally.
3 - The notebooks the author is comparing have comparable wi-fi lifetimes although the AMD laptop with the 5825U has slightly smaller battery. But who cares since they essentially the same weight, size, and run times? Isn't that a tie? The R7-7730U seems to have a driver issue preventing longer wi-fi run times.
