Bikee has announced that the Lightest ebike kit is now being produced at scale. The lightweight electric bicycle conversion kit can weigh as little as 4.0 kg (~8.8 lbs). Several versions are available, including an EU-compliant 250 W motor and 250 Wh battery set, and a range-topping 1,000 W 120 Nm motor with an 840 Wh power pack.

The CYC Photon is nominal 750 watt legal and has as much torque. It has an integrated controller, no exposed reduction drive
and is significantly more quiet. Installation is simpler, fits a wide range of chain rings and costs hundreds less.

And what's wrong with super quiet proven bafang bbshd 160nm and what, a kilo heavier. Your all mad, difference between  a $3k bike and a 8k bike is not even 3kg, take the bafang for $1000 and skip some cheeseburger lunches. I would rather they go the other way and make bikes stronger for extra torque if you wish to add more powerful supply units. Everyone needs a hobby.

At $ 1,000 I think I will buy a Triban Regular road bike. The car has aluminum frame, comfortable shape and carbon forks, so moving is very easy.
