As well as support for 4k / 8k @ 60fps when recording video and the presence of OIS.
Today the SoC is essentially only important in terms of the photo/video part and support for modern codecs. Does the 9200 H266 support it? No. Does it support on-the-fly compression in AV1? Again no?
Also, in a modern smartphone, it is important to have an HDMI2.0 / DP1.4 output to monitors in order to use the smartphone as a silent system unit for surfing on a large screen, which top-end SoC 2022+ allows.
As well as reliable instant hardware shutdown of microphones and cameras. Plus, the mandatory recording of conversations from the line (moreover, with complex rules of who to write and who not). This is a necessary requirement for a normal working smartphone.
Children should be denied access to smartphones until the age of 14. They only hurt them. Incredibly damaging...
And games ... this is an empty occupation and nonsense ...
You sound like an incredibly out of touch old head that wants to be relevant so bad.
4K@60 is literally doable by premium midrange chipsets at this point in time, let alone flagships. 8K is equally as stupid and if you're desperate for such resolution, you realistically shouldn't be expecting it from a tiny, less than 1" sensor on a smartphone. Not to mention that, in fact, cameras are one of the least relevant components of a phone to the vast majority of normal people who aren't obsessed with taking a picture/video of everything they stumble upon.
H266? Who the hell even needs that? H264 is still the industry standard, H265 is barely breaking through to the mainstream, and it's still an upcoming norm. Pushing for H266 is pointless, and holds no value to anyone at all, since the hardware (SoC itself) will be obsolete by the time H266 acquires enough relevancy within the industry.
"On-the-fly compression of AV1"? What does that even mean? You're so out of touch that you don't even know the proper terminology to describe your own thoughts. If you mean AV1 decoding, then YES the Dimensity 9200 DOES support it. If you mean encoding, then I legitimately feel sorry for you, for being so lost and confused to the point of thinking AV1 encoding is relevant on a phone.
HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4? What does that even have to do with the Dimensity 9200? Even ignoring how irrelevant your point is, do you want phones to become 30mm thick just to house those ports? I was going to ask if you didn't know about USB-C to HDMI cables, and USB hubs that you can plug to your phone and monitor but the answer is blatant. You don't. You barely know anything.
I will not even bother with the rest of your comment. It's borderline stupid and completely irrelevant to this conversation regarding the Dimensity 9200, like how mad you are that kids have easier access to useful technology while your old head is getting confused on the internet. Or how mad you are that people of ALL AGES, play games on their phones and have a great time, while you're being miserable on the internet. All I have to say about that is : Yikes.
