Eight Tesla vehicles eligible for the new EV tax credit but not all Model Ys qualify as SUV

The IRS has published the full list of electric vehicles that will qualify for the US$7,500 federal tax credit starting January 1, 2023. Eight of them are Tesla Model Y and Model 3 versions, but not all Model Ys are considered SUVs by the IRS with the respective higher US$80,000 purchase limit.
