It's a big laptop so it's weird that there is no RJ45 port considering its targeted purpose (home office, as stated in the article). It also gets weirdly loud under heavy load, hm. Other than that it's a pretty nice device with many pros for that price; yes it is a bit higher price but it's worth it considering its screen quality. It will be a very good budget buy on discounts like Black Friday and things like that.

Seems a decent office/home multimedia laptop. This is important and i bet that 17" chassis is a big contribution to it: 

When idling and during everyday operation (office, internet), the single fan usually remains silent.

They still should strive to full assurance of silent operation.

Fast panel (B2W 6 ms and G2G 10 ms), 89% sRGB, average of 307 nits and no PWM. Those alone make it better than approximately 97-99% of available panels in sub 800€.

And low PPI... Come on, last time I checked 127 PPI is still sharper than 122 PPI what you get on an average high-quality office 24" monitor with 2560x1440. It's not like one is going to view a 17.3" screen from 15 cm away (better invest in a good pair of glasses in that case, instead of buying a new laptop).

I don't believe in such response on 60Hz IPS panels. Either the author inserted where the data came from or it's a typo.

You can buy yourself this "miracle" with 455:1 - and spoil your vision with a grainy picture in the near zone.

Care to name one single new(er) laptop with better 17.3" screen (and higher PPI, 4K is apparently a must because otherwise everything is Minecraft) than this one in this price range up to €800?

I mean I just did a filter on Computeruniverse for 8+ GB RAM, 16"+ screen and up to €859 price. Guess how many models is there with higher resolution than 1920x1080 for 16:9 and 1920x1200 for 16:10? Literally ZERO. So it's time for you to step up here and provide a 4K 100% sRGB 120 Hz screen in a laptop that cost less than mentioned €859. You will make a lot of money so stop commenting here and start with manufacturing those puppies.

17.3" 3840x2160 IPS 1200:1 have RETAIL price is 130-150$ on Ali/eBay.

Now subtract the retail price from the price of the laptop and calculate the retail price of all other components. There will not be enough for $450. But price is 920$-80$(awful IPS fhd)...

Why are buyers being asked for $920?

Acer Aspire 5 2022 in our stores with 2.5k 1200:1 IPS (really excellent black levels) costs $800. At the same time, there is RJ45, HDMI 2.1 (full 48Gb / s), 3 usb-a 3.2 ports and a TB4 port. At the same time, Aspire 5 has two power options - a normal, comfortable for right-handers, angular, round power plug on the left, and usb-c, if necessary.

Compared to Acer Aspire 5 2022, Lenovo units are overpriced by 1.5 times minimum and are insignificant.

The only thing that spoils everything (which is just amazing) is that the idiots in Acer ruined the keyboard - there is no normal numpad. If their marketing morons didn't do this year after year, Acer's sales would have killed Lenovo's sales. But I always have a strange feeling that either absolutely insane people work there or this is some kind of conspiracy ...
