Valid Intel Core i9-13900K Geekbench run leaves Raptor Lake possibly facing Zen 4 extinction event

The Intel Core i9-13900K Raptor Lake processor has been spotted on Geekbench again, this time around in a benchmark run that has been classed as valid. The recorded gains over its i9-12900K predecessor leave the i9-13900K looking surprisingly unspectacular considering Zen 4 from AMD is looming ominously over the horizon.

This website is just fraud.. should retitle as amd notebookcheck... extinction really? Semi literate authors. Google should block this

SorryNotSorry

NBC should take a look at some of their writers. You'd expect some professionalism and impartiality, not a blatant AMD shill spewing nonsense.

Extinction event is quite sensationalist, once the convoluted phrasing is parsed.

I gotta say, notebookcheck used to really stand out for consistent, objective reviews. It was among few sites with this level of quality. I'm sure I helped its growth by always promoting it over other sites that had inconsistent, subjective reviews.

It's still mostly there for notebooks, but now the site is broadly about "gadgets," so the articles are becoming more similar to other sites, which are mainly rephrasings of press releases with a few words to incite reaction. A lot of those sites get really bad, like wccftech, they have some good stories, but their writing quality is bad, they throw too many bones to trolls, and the comment section is generally just people potty mouthing each other uselessly. Which is a shame, good comment sections can add a lot of value, you can even create a community, but that's not going to happen here if the editors aren't careful.

Hilarious headline, and good leak analysis! Time will tell who will win this next round in the processor race.

Something is terribly wrong with Geekbench scaling for MT, since in all real-life MT loads a 3990X Threadripper is about a bit more than double the speed of 5950X and 12900KS (about 2.75-3:1).
