Microsoft had announced its intention to release one new Feature Update for its main PC OS per year, which could have meant Windows 12 could arrive as soon as 2023. However, according to the latest reports, the Redmond giant has been obliged to scrap these plans, thereby pushing the major upgrade back to 2024 with new features arriving via a new, update-independent initiative instead.

Micro-too-late.  US sanctions have forced China to create alternative ecosystems.  The most prominent of which is Deepin OS.  Ever since I got my Huawei laptop, I never allowed Windows 11 the password to my WiFi router.  I quickly installed Deepin as dual boot and only connect online thru Deepin OS.  EZ peezie way to defeat underhanded privacy intrusions made by Windows on behalf of the CIA. 

Windows 12 will try very hard to recapture the traditional OS market, but it will be too late.  Besides, I never allowed any of my Windows 10+ machines to connect to the internet anyways...
