LG and Samsung are looking at the potential of the so-called metalenses for making much smaller, low-power electric vehicles cameras that can be used in autonomous driving sets. LG, in particular, is researching a metalens with nanoparticles that has 1/10,000th of the regular glass or plastic lens thickness.
