One of the first 30 customers who waited 3 years to receive the keys of a made-in-Europe Model Y from Elon Musk upon the opening of Tesla's new Gigafactory in Berlin, already managed to get into an accident. Rear-ended by an Audi at a red light stop, he was told that the bumper replacement or repair will take a few weeks, mainly while the shop is waiting for the Model Y parts to arrive.

Unfortunately, just two days after he got his Model Y that has been three years in waiting, he got rear-ended by an Audi at a traffic light, resulting in a fairly minor damage to the rear bumper.

This is neither a technical story nor a human interest story. What is it exactly?

It's a funny story. That's what that is! Tesla is not a real car company. It's an appliance company that sells disposable appliances you can drive.

Dude should have have bought a German EV. A Taycan or an e-tron is much cooler. Or even a Ford Mach-E. Lo

I'm just waiting for the 7 seater model Y to come out in the UK. The women in my family are all under 5 foot 2, they'd be able to fit in those rear seats no problem. With that huge front and rear boot, nothing comes close in terms of practicality in that price range imo
