If you own a ThinkPad P1 or X1 Extreme and connect it to an external monitor on Windows 10, then the chances are that you have experienced sluggish performance with your device set to "Second screen only". Lenovo finally released an update to address the issue, but then pulled it without reason. Fortunately, we still have the download link to the package if you need it.

There is another nasty bug that's currently affecting these machines (at least lots of them) and likely related to the Intel driver - brightness control is not working. Could be the reason why they pulled the update.

Updated driver that fixes the brightness issue was released on the 12th. Running it now on a P1G2 and it works great.

I have an X1 gen 3 and the bug is still there. Any idea if there is a fix somewhere for this? Very annoying.

I just bought and X1 Extreme Gen4 and I running Linux on it (Fedora 35). The bug is also there for Linux on this machine it seems!
