Huawei has reportedly hung physical posters teasing its second-gen MatePad Pro up around its domestic market ahead of its imminent launch. They depict a high-end slate with slim enough bezels, not to mention screen contents seemingly lining up with those from earlier HarmonyOS-related leaks. The device might also sell alongside a new keyboard dock and a compatible stylus.

Without looking at the title and getting any sense of brand in advance, that UI in the thumbnail immediately came across as iOS, iPadOS to be exact. What a way to hammer in that image of "innovation" they're trying to portray.

obviously

All these high-end Samsung/Huawei tablets would have been more appealing if the had run Windows instead of Android/HarmonyOS.

Innovation is not just about UI
And innovation isn't be obsessed with looking totally different with what it's working

Those icons and many Chinese UI on android did improve  the UI. Why do you want them to put triangles when this form is the best one for tactile handset ?

China invented the wheel, should you change it just to say you innovate?

UI is the just the exterior aspect. They do the best they can, huawei is just one of the most innovative companies in the world.
Just look at the cars they produce now. They have a better look. But in Asian culture, copying is honouring the other. What is difficult to copy is the critical technology. These people just chose their priorities and focus more on strategic things; They produced the best phones in the worlds in terms of built quality, photography, soc innovation( their soc integrate 5G two years before anybody and were the first in npu....)

the biggest deal for Huawei is the semi conductor supply chain, not the OS.

Gimme a break. What did you just smoke? The wheel was invented in the Stone Age, with no written record and archeological evidence doesn't point to China being the first either.

Huawei cars? Yeah, heard of it, except it's in the news regarding how they repeated claim they will not produce their own cars.

How they repeatedly trash Samsung and Apple all the while "honoring" them, yeah I know about that too. And 5G that to this day remains an expensive gimmick, as well as that NPU that keeps getting updated but hardly makes a splash.
