Currently, the highest-res smartphone image sensor in existence is one of 108MP. Obviously, it is used as a marquee feature on the back of devices like the new Xiaomi Mi 11. However, should the prolific leaker Digital Chat Station be believed, it might migrate to the front of upcoming models soon.

I will absolutely not buy under-display camera phones until the quality is on par with the latest selfie cameras which are not under-display. This kind of compromise is absolutely not acceptable to get rid of the punchhole. I would rather accept a small bezel on the top again.

I hope tablets also get these better selfie cameras for better video calling. They are stuck on 8 MP for a long time.
