Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC is finally here. It comes with a new integrated 5G modem that supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave networks and an ISP that is up to 35% faster than its predecessor. The chipset is likely to make its debut alongside the Xiaomi Mi 11 series soon.

So Qualcomm has decided to not support AV1 in hardware? By now at least hardware decoding should have arrived in their SoCs. What a pity.

Actually keeping 875 and renaming the next generation would make a bit more sense, I don't see the rush.
