With the Ryzen 5 PRO, the 14-incher outclasses the top models from Intel. In addition, it offers great battery life, low noise levels, and excellent maintenance options. However, it's not enough for it to become a subnotebook mega-star due to its dim display.

Intel's bags don't smell.. Typical method since the early 2000x: just put a worse display in AMD model and the consumer will have to take Intel-based model.

Both AMD and Intel version have the same 250, 400 and 1000nit display options with this EliteBook.

The OEMs giant like HP Dell Lenovo Asus are intentionally giving these kind of low configuration like less ram low resolution screen slower speed memories for powerful AMD CPUs. These are simply their cheap strategies to help Intel's business whose future is on death bed due to the attack or AMD's massive CPUs.

Acer Swift 3: the two platforms, have completely different sized screens and aspect ratios....

Hope they will really sell equally equipped models with Intel/AMD. Because last time I checked in the physical HP store (for 7XX EliteBooks), they had AMD-based Elitebooks with a single choice (bottom) display, while Intel-based analogues had top range display. Moreover, they equipped AMD-based with a single RAM module, so I had to ask them instantly install a second module.

Some other manufacturers also install slower SSDs in AMD-based laptops, so need to check that as well.

Good example. Actually, I really wanted Swift 3 with 4:3 screen, but with AMD APU...
