AMD's Carrizo or A10-8700P if made at 14nm instead of 28nm would definitely give Intel a run for its money, I'm happy to say.

How are you getting 70 frames on something like Diablo 3? I have a HP Pavilion 15AB124AX, with the 8700p processor and 2gb Radeon R7 graphics and I cannot even manage a stable 30fps at the lowest settings.

They'd outperform i5's even if made at 22nm.
AMD should have never spun-off GF

I have a laptop with the a10 8700p, if you pair it with higher clocked ram like the 2133MHz hyper x ram in mine I can play games like bf4 at about 51fps give or take a few, compared to the about 30 from the factory with 1600MHz ram. CsGo was actually over 100fps low settings.

I really wish this website wouldn't show up first in google search on AMD chips.  You can absolutely tell these are very very very pro intel people running the site.  If you want absolute fair benchmark results and information on AMD's chips/chipsets go to a different site.  Four of us, each with a different laptop benchmarked the heck out of the A10-8700p, and while the watts ((OF COURSE)) have a great deal to do with performance...it was no where near as low as this site has put it.  Every benchmark, and over 24 games showed it out performing the i5-5200u.  We didn't have an i7 series laptop to test ourselves.  We do have access to several laptops on a daily basis so its a matter of time before testing it there.  I'm guessing either they ran false data to boost intel, or made software changes that grossly affected results.  I personally used a HP Pavilion 17-G121WM for testing on my end.

Remember intel has been around for a long while, and lot of people have "bought" stock in them...so even if they are lagging behind in technology and performance...there will always be a majority trying to make intel seem to be the best for profit purpose.  There are plenty of benchmark tools out there...test for yourselves, amazon and bestbuy have quick return policies if you don't get the same results that I got.

I too use the AMD A-10 Dell Inspiron 5555 (12GB RAM) for the past 4 years. Wow! what a performance.

2) Just few sec to start
3) Excellent 3hrs+ battery backup
4) less power consumption
5) no heating issue
6) Very smooth performance

Thanks to dell for this wonderful configuration.

Note: I love AMD and I did some R&D on the AMD processor comparing the Intel and finally Intel failed and started buying AMD computers since 2005. Till now I stick with AMD 8)
