Some of the highlights for the 10th gen Intel Core desktop CPUs include improved Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 with up to 5.3 GHz boost clocks, DDR4-2933 support, new Intel 400-series chipset and 2.5 GbE speeds. Note that the listed prices are only the wholesale ones, so expect retail prices to be at least US$100 higher.

If you are saying purrsuing maximum performance inspite of power and heat generation(the only competitive option available to either companies at the time)?
Yes, agreed, let's see if they bundle coolers with them! AMD sold that at $920 at launch, as adoption was non-existent, they then cut the price in third and could be picked up for $360 with an included AIO cooler. TDP of 220W vs Sandy/Ivybridge of that era. Glad the painful bulldozer years are in the past. Intel is going to have a hard time keeping these in stock at the given prices.

These should be competitive with Ryzen 3000's at current prices. There is probably a lot of pent up demand for something new from Intel too.You are probably right that they will have a tough time keeping them in stock.
