Crucial, Micron's main SSD brand, recently launched its PCIe Gen4 P2 and P5 SSDs. These blazing fast NVMe SSDs deliver over 3000 MB/s of performance, making them faster than the Xbox Series X. The entry-level 250 GB P2 costs just US$ 55, meaning both model lineups are likely to be cost-effective.

All of these new drives are pci Gen3. Look at the oicture you posted with the article. Go to there website and it clearly states "pushing the limit of pci gen3". Do some research.

And just a bit more to add. "While these aren't exactly the fastest PCIe Gen 4 SSDs we've seen" because there not gen4. You do realise gen3 speeds are a little over 3500MB/s. Gen4 is over 5000MB/s. These drives are not even at gen3 limits. Waste of money if you're going for speed entirely. XPG and GIGABYTE have gen4 drives starting around $150

Still the value is not even close to either of these consoles....and considering the fact that both these consoles....even series x have dedicated communications resources between storage and computing powers...there is no way that any current storage technology is as resourceful as these consoles especially the ps5.
