Although nobody knows the exact PS5 price yet there have been quite a few retailers creating placeholders offering up details in regard to the cost and release date of the next-gen console. The latest offering, which comes from Play N Trade Vancouver Island, suggests that the PlayStation 5 could end up being quite a bargain.

Let's do some basic math...

PS5: $400 + $60 controller + $120-180 buying 2-3 games = minimum of $580

Series X: $500 + $10 for Gamepass = $510. One controllers work with Series X so you don't need new ones.

Conclusion: for $70 less, you get a superior box, with a minimum of 30% more power, better APIs, faster hardware due to superior software.  Xbox Series X is the clear option. Gamepass has 244 games on it currently. It's the best deal in gaming.

Not sure how you arrived at the above numbers, but OK lets assume you're  correct.

Xbox1 Sold 47m units this gen, PS4 has sold over 100m, if Xbox1 and game pass was such a great proposition, wouldn't the numbers look different?

This is not a set price.

On the FB page they replied to people that this is a pre-order price and the final figure will adjust accordingly, or they can cancel.

It's just a way to bring custom to their site.

By the way, Danish site foetex has it listed at $1043 / £837
