Asus ZenBook 14 UM431DA: With a slowed-down AMD CPU

Time and again, laptop manufacturers equip their devices with up-to-date CPUs without adapting the system to the requirements of the new hardware. Asus also makes this mistake with the ZenBook 14, which raises the question of whether you should chose a slightly weaker CPU for less money.

Waste of resources and money.
Should have gone with Zen 2 instead.

Also, Asus, you cannot be bothered to design a cooling system capable of allowing the hardware inside your laptops to reach and sustain its advertised boost clocks INDEFINITELY (which is more than possible), STOP designing laptops where you intentionally GIMP AMD hardware.

Your design of GL702ZC was a disaster.
You had desktop grade 1700 and RX 580 downclocked and undervolted to consume FAR LESS power.
You had EFFICIENT hw and you designed a stupid cooling assembly which resulted in those units having a high failure rate.
17" chassis... and what did you do with it?
You've cut corners and  ruined what could have been a GREAT design with excellent cooling and minimal noise.

You also failed to provide BIOS updates to support Zen+ and Zen 2.

Many people (including myself) have been BURNED by your poor quality control.
Get yourselves sorted out if you want to regain consumers.

Welcome to the downside of "cpu competition".  CPU releases are coming out too fast for manufacturers to put adequate cooling systems and proper integration, not to mention...outside of the top 2-3% of gamers, where is the software that needs a 32 core 4GHz cpu?
