I think this is going after the Chinese sub-brands, without spinning off a sub-brand.
It's follows exactly that logic, theoretically being lower end devices than flagship but with full flagship grade performance regarding system benchmarks or features. The problem is that devices like the iQoo cost about 470 euros, wich is the price of an A70, while the A80 is 680 euros. So, as things stand off now, it won't be exactly the same thing unless they change something in the design of those phones, to keep prices down for example. Also those are big numbers for the cameras but actually the performance isn't a given, especially considering the performance of the A70 from the test chart of notebookcheck, wich is very bad even if the captured image is very well detailed in some areas but not so clear or fine. Also take for example the A7 2018: enough details are blurry so for this reason its defining quality that was supposed to deliver the best perfomance in its class and more doesn't make it a champ among equivalent devices, even if i still quite like how the photos are taken (so i would buy it anyway as i very much like other performances of this device). The A9 does also much worse comparatively with notebookcheck saying that its results are way inferior to the oneplus 6 for example. The ovarall performance is, especially in some areas a degree or two or even more inferior to other devices wich are maybe. The A70 also shocked me with its very mediocre performance on asphalt 9 , wich i thought it could be able to run like a champ considering that combination of cpu and gpu, at least something close to the definition of "smooth". It varies from 23 wich is very low for a chip like that, going as low as 9 wich is practically unplayable. So i' m more than skeptical about the performance of these two especially considering their consistency on anyone aspect as well as a whole. It would not even come nowhere near to the s9, wich is very good (speaking of camera results).
