The new Ryzen processors give a decent boost to AMD. This will please the end users in particular, since competition is known to be good for business. For me, the decision between Intel and AMD would hinge on the answer to the question if AMD has installed or not installed a similar backdoor to their processors as Intel has in its Trusted Execution hardware (don't remember the exact name right now...
