@NikoB:
You are absolutely wrong!
There is basically no noticeable difference between JPEG 90% vs 100% settings, with sensors and optics of this caliber.
It makes some sense with DSLR and above, but not with 1/1.7 sensor with paper thin semi-plastic optics.
Factory settings is what 99,999% (five 9-nes for reason!) users will use when playing with smartphone photography. Whole point of 600+ € smartphone snapper is to take that picture quickly and right away.
It's not to mess around with custom settings, manual mode and RAWs.
If a sane user wants to spend 10 minutes setting up a single photo, he/she would bring DSLR/full frame camera with them.
Third party software throws away support for additional cameras and any customizations that were made for your combination of camera/optics on your smartphone by the manufacturer.
RAW does not include optical distortion correction and honestly - given that the hw is nearly identical, I would expect indistinguishable results.
If I had to f*** around with RAWs and manual settings every time I wanted a quick photo, I would stick to Nokia 3310 and carry my Samsung NX500 everywhere.
This is a very good test that mirrors experience and results actual buyers will have with the cameras.
