Second best. The P449-M-7407 is the latest 14" notebook from Acer's TravelMate series. The device is aimed at business professionals looking for a portable and affordable notebook in the highly competitive business market. While it has its shortcomings, the P449 is a well-rounded device. Can this Jack of all trades best the competition, or is it merely the court fool?

Article author here. My thoughts exactly. It's pretty bad to have 75% of USB ports on a $950 business class laptop be USB 2.0. My guess is that they're USB 2 for lower bandwidth peripherals, like mice, keyboard, and some other input or business tool. They're all grouped on the right side, so that could be it.

Or it could be Acer trying to push people into buying their external dock. ;)
