One mistake away from the perfect laptop, indeed. And what a mistake it is!
10hrs of battery life, 6 core CPU, high graphics, 2 x M.2, large keyboard, slick design... I was just one or two clicks away from buying this ultimate notebook, but then I saw the ridiculous screen resolution.
QHD on a 1050ti over a 14" screen, seriously... ::)
They must have put the QHD to "make up" for the exaggerated price (1800€ for a mid-range GTX configuration), but it actually ruins the product in its entirety: drop the QHD to FHD and you'd get better price, better performance, and better battery life. Even at the same price, it would be still worth it. But no, they just do not offer that.
What's worse is that they've done the same mistake on the Aero 15 (for the last two models), but backwards: Full HD over a GTX 1070... when everyone on Gigabyte's social networks was asking for a QHD version that could be easily handled by the 1070 (oh, and they said "yes, the QHD version is coming", but it's not).
In other words, we got the Aero 15 resolution on the Aero 14 system and vice-versa. Outrageously incomprehensible.
