Laptop für Uni

Hallo, ich gehe bald zur Uni und brauche einen Laptop mit folgenden Spezifikationen (englisch):

Budget: ~1200€
Size: 13"
Buying in: UK/Europe
No preference in brands
No refurbished laptop
Primary tasks: College stuff, probably MatLab/CAD/bit of programming
I will be carrying this laptop with me most of the time probably
Games: Probably not, if anything then I will be playing flashgames
Battery-Life: I don't know the current standard, but long enough to survive a day of lectures
Buying without seeing is okay, as long as they have good quality images --> DESIGN is my first and foremost criteria
OS: Windows 7, but I don't think they sell that anymore, so I'll probably either put Linux on or stick with Windows 8
Screen resolution: Whatever, high enough that I can work, but that's it
I'm fine with both glossy and matte
Design/stylishness is my #1 factor
Buying it ASAP
I want it to last as long as it can, but I'm not going to force it, when I need a new laptop, I'll get a new laptop
I really don't know about HDD space, the Ativbook has 128GB, which doesn't seem much, but since I'll surely bring an external HDD it should still be fine
I definitely want an SSD
Optical drive... I'm not sure, probably not really necessary

Daher, mir geht es vor allem um #1: Design, #2 Mobilität/Batterie, #3 CAD/MathLab Programme
Im Moment bin ich beim Ativbook 9 oder Asus Zenbook, wobei mir das Ativbook 9 besser zusagt vom Aussehen her
Könnt ihr noch weiter empfehlen?

Außerdem brauch ich den Laptop mit UK Tastatur, wisst ihr wo ich hier einen bekomme?
Hab mir überlegt den Laptop per Amazon.co.uk zu bestellen aber da kostet das Ativbook 1300Pfund im Vergleich zu 1300€ hier...

ich habe deinen post nur diagonal überflogen - ist nicht so ganz meine ecke.

aber was NBs mit anderen tastaturen angeht: schon mal an ein Schenker gedacht? das S403 oder S413 sollte doch aus dem bauch heraus auch ganz passend sein. und IIRC kriegst du da ohne probleme auch eine UK-tastatur.

Mir fallen auf die Schnelle, das Asus UX32LN, Apple MacBook Pro 13"(Studentenbonus) und Dell XPS 13(gibt eigentlich immer irgendwelche Gutscheine dafür).

Apple MacBook... Ich hasse Mac OS...
Dell XPS13 schau ich mir mal an im Geschäft ob mir das gefällt
Und beim Asus wo ist der Unterschied zum UX302? Und außerdem habe ich gehört Asus wäre sehr schlecht von der Qualität/Reparatur her und man bis zu 6 Monate warten kann --> Unmöglich als Student

Wie sieht es denn mit dem Ativ Book aus? Ist es schlecht/gut?

Ich weiß nicht welches CAD Programm du benutzt, aber bei 3D Anwendungen können Ultrabooks schon an deren Grenzen kommen.

Achja, zwecks Asus UX32LN: Ist vorne minimal dicker, hat kein Touchdisplay und hat kein Unibody-Gehäuse(nicht ganz so edel, leicht). Dafür billiger, bessere Grafikkarte und ein tolles mattes IPS-Display.
