What would you recommend to someone who is trying to choose between 2019 HP Spectre x360 15t with i7-8565U chipset (i.e., this year's entry-level model) and 2018 HP Spectre x360 15t with i7-8705G chipset, given that the model tested above with the i7-8750H chipset is quite expensive?
I remember reading somewhere that the i7-8565U's performance is in general about the same as that of the i7-8505U's, although this also depends on the particular implementation. Looking at the looped CB R15 test results above (the big line chart), one can conclude that the 2018 Spectre with i7-8705G would still be superior to this year's entry-level Spectre with i7-8565U, even with its thermal throttling issues. But I wanted to double check this since, I guess, HP's 2019 implementation of the i7-8565U might be better than its 2018 implementation of i7-8505U.
Also, I was wondering how fan activity, noise, and heating issues compare between these two models. Notebookcheck had noted the 2018 Spectre's fan issues earlier. I suppose these are no longer an issue with the more efficient and calmer i7-8565U?
