Hello,

I have the Acer 5672Wlmi_1024 with x1600 128mb, 1gb ddr2 and t2300 1.66 ghz.

I play alot of call of duty 2 but i want it to run smoothly on 1024 on dx9 settings and now i have to set the settings all the time to dx7 and the quality goes down alot.

So now ik have money for 1gb ddr2 but if i change the 1gb to 1,5 gb does that help alot or should i have 2gb or a new cpu maybe t7200? what is cheapest way. (i now have the money for 1gb and i have only 2 slots so i have to get one 512 out).

Coould anyone help me?

srry for my bad english

the best thing to improve your gaming-performance is a better gpu ... because your x1600 with 128mb ram is very weak compared to the real x1600 with 256mb ram or the 7600go with 256 or 512mb ram

you will not recognize any improvement if you only change the cpu or ram

furthermore you should never upgrade to 1,5gb ram because your gpu needs dualchannel-mode for a fast access to its shared ram

in my opinion you chose the wrong laptop to run 3d-games smoothly in high resolutions and detaillevels
