How to buy a gaming GPU in 2025: Subscribe to Amazon Prime, apparently

Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5000 and AMD's Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs are finally becoming more widely available on Amazon, but only because Amazon is seemingly taken steps to deter scalpers from buying 2025's best gaming GPUs. One such step is requiring an Amazon Prime account in order to buy a GPU.

Doesn't help much to get rid of scalpers when they then charge scalper prices anyway. Some of the available cards on Amazon are more than 200% of MSRP. Not happening.
