800€ for a tablet? For an Android tablet? Funny joke actually, especially considering that you can buy a completely decent laptop for that money, and if you add a bit more you are in an iPad Pro territory.

I think this is more meant as competition for the Samsung Tab S10+ than the iPad Pro.

Let's face it, the vast majority of Apple fans are never going to switch to an Android tablet regardless of specs or price, so this constant comparison of Android products to Apple products as if there was an actual competition outside the fringes is just clickbait and kind of boring.

On the other hand, there are hundreds of Android tablets arguably better for most people in terms of form-factors, specs and price and that comparison is actually useful.

Case in point, I bought a Samsung Tab S9 FE+ last December as my first 12"+ tablet for CA$550 but with only 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and no keyboard case. Would the Tab Plus 2025 have been a better choice?

Oh, and Worgarthe beautifully demonstrates my point by suggesting that 800€ is too much for a 12.7" Android tablet but that paying 1220€ for the very base model iPad Pro is just fine.

In one of the YouTube channels, the weight of the back cover and the keyboard are shown.  I believe it's about 1.2-ish kg in total.

Until new Android tablets sporting Dimensity 9400 or SD 8 Elite emerge, pound to pound, the best-valued Android tablet is IQOO Pad 2 Pro.  Their 512/16 configuration can be had for a reasonable price while most Android tablets cap their RAM to 16GB only unless you pay for a premium.  Yes, it's using a 13-inch (with 3:2 aspect ratio) IPS LCD panel but a very good one that has 900 nits brightness, arguably better than some poor OLED panels in 2024 Android tablets.  Storage is also UFS 4.0.

Not sure why NBC didn't even review the device.

That's where you are wrong about me, my friend, which you can easily verify by simply checking my post history around here (search for "Apple" to quickly find it). You are correct with the rest of your comment.

Btw, I was looking at an 11" M4 iPad Pro 8/256, 945€; so 145€ more for a vastly superior device (starting with longer OS support and better actual semi-pro apps) although I still stand behind and will always stay behind it - paying more than 400€ for a tablet is utterly dumb as long as it runs a mobile OS.

I bought a Xiaomi Pad 6S pro to replace my 2018 laptop. Besides the XX century Android file management UI it has been working well for my office work proposes.

50% time outside in the field is not?  or even 5% if essential to a job well done?

Since you specifically mentioned 800. So basically all MacBooks too (outside of HDR) are unusable for you; you simply have to use an Android tablet because of its, again specifically mentioned, 800 nits. I legit want to see a work-related use case where 800 is actually needed, but that's another story...

Check your local version. Some regions don't come with the kick stand and keyboard pack, and you can't buy it online as well. Without the kick stand and keyboard, it's extremely difficult to use.
