They won't belong to Renault, they are in their way of divesting from Nissan, perhaps will keep as partners, but now they are expecting to pair with Chinese manufacturers like Geely as tech partners (the role Nissan once had).
But it's bad that will have less independent manufacturers. With the little resource Nissan is left and dwindling sales, I expect all but a few of it cars will become rebadged Hondas.
The question is how they can "face" electric cars, when even the Senior partner, Honda, is behind the curve? They are just releasing a new SUV that is based on the GM platform instead...
