I don't know why Strix Halo is mentioned in the article at all

Are the "rumors" from the same sources that claimed the PS5-Pro was going to be 'trading blows' with 4070's??? LOL!!!

While surely AMD may at some point release dedicated mobile GPU's the CURRENT generation iGPU's can barely 'trade blows' with +6yo dedicated mobile GPU's.

The likelyhood of a current generation iGPU keeping up with a current generation mobile dGPU just ain't going to happen.

Just a bunch of hype and wishful thinking.

So far, geekbench leaks say about 3050 Mobile performance in terms of vulkan. Maybe with some driver improvements they can get it to 4050 Mobile. Maybe in OpenCL it can match a 4060 with help of NPU

What has Strix Halo got to do with the kraken series? Kraken is a basic refresh of the phoenix lineup of AMD.

Also how does it thrash it and slightly beat it? It is simply confusing and misleading.

Lastly, Strix halo by the name is a halo product meant to compete with the apple M series. It is basically a consumer mobile APU containing 40 CUs and a large memory bus that can possibly trade blows with the RTX 4060 (according to leaks). So comparing or even mentioning it here seems misleading since the price and class of the kraken is incomparable to the halo lineup.

That is what I am wondering since notebook check writes genuinely good articles from time to time. This article is just confusing

Umm... don't you mean "GTX1050?? (or maybe the GTX1060?)

On what Planet does a iGPU 'trade blows' with a current gen dGPU? (even IF it is a mobile one?)

Over hype much?

Agreed. I own a beelink ser9 that have the higher end strix ai 9 370.

Its the best IGPU I ever seen but no its not a 4060. It more in between a 1650/1660 and a 2060 but include very advanced AI core making it able to do thing much newer GPU do like raytracing, advanced AI upscaling and even frame gen.

I guess with frame gen on it close to a 4060 that do not use frame gen or dlss.

Its also much faster than the ai 350 ryzen 7 this article refer to.

Got 3300 single core and over 22000 multi core on it.

Its a very fast and efficient APU.
