The developer behind last year's Nintendo Switch Re-shell kit has returned with a second-generation alternative affectionally called the 'Switch Pro shell mod'. Officially sold as the Switch NXii, the new kit allows a Nintendo Switch to run at 50% RAM, 50% GPU, and 125% CPU overclocks with reduced thermals for the most part.

Not really worth it. Tegra X1 doesn't overclock that great. Would be more beneficial to have a kit like this for the Tegra X1+ because it is a more efficient chipset that can overclock pretty far.

This mod is only compatible with V1 and V2, as you yourself stated in the article. The OLED models of switch are not. You may consider removing lines that suggest the OLED can be used with this kit.

You said:

"Currently, the kit can be purchased on Etsy with or without a Noctua fan for $95 and $110, respectively."

So it's $95 with a Noctua fan and $110 without one? How does that make sense? You used the word "respectively."

You should look up how to use the word "respectively" when using it in that sort of phrasing.

It's not a console it's a handheld and  it don't improve performance. You get the same fps. You can hook up a steamdeck, a cellphone, ect to a tv/monitor but that doesn't make it a console.

the switch is different though, if you have it hooked up to a TV or monitor it boosts the overclock speed of the device (better performance) as it doesn't need to worry about battery usage, you can increase this even more if you mod the switch itself with custom firmware which allows you to increase the overclock speed to a much higher amount but if you don't have a custom way of cooling the device it will overheat, which is where this case mod comes in
