The Model Y Juniper refresh may be $7,500 more expensive in California next quarter as the government phases out green car credits and the states scoffs at compensating Tesla in particular.

Wow, Newsome is very good at destroying California and driving its businesses to move to other states. So glad i don't live in Commie fornia where they punish people for being successful! SMH

Hold on a second! I thought the EV incentives were about saving the planet, not about political gamesmanship. What did I miss?

Musk wants to punish other competitors and keep other established AMERICAN companies out? Then all's fair that someone does it right back to him. Gutting (more) American jobs is unAmerican too, pal.

Newsome wants to run for president, since he has started currying favor with the fossil fuel industry. With that he has worked to kill the solar industry in California. Now he is doing this to help kill EVs and is redirecting the funds to carbon capture(which is mostly a fossil fuel industry scam)

The only reason why Musk switched political parties is because of Newsome who has went to great length to destroy anything for the sake of him running for president.

The state of CA created the EV market for Tesla. Tesla would no longer exist without CA nurture. Doing the same for Rivian, Lucid, Scout, VW, Kia/Hyundai will lead to cars, trucks, SUVs, and minivans that anyone could buy (and wants to buy). If the credit is capped at a reasonable level (<55000), it will be a fantastic investment for CA.

Musk literally moved Tesla HQ to a state where they can't be sold, has NO credits for EVs, and taxes EVs. Oh he also built a factory there to build a vehicle that will sell worse than the Honda Prologue. Logic is not his strong suit.

What a discriminatory practice ! The victims will end up being California residents who voted for their so competent governor !

The planet can't be saved with trump gutting everything with musk, ramaswamy, and project 2025. Pulling out of anything that's for the people and only taking for himself and his sycophants.

Everyone online says that Democrats need to stop taking the high road. California has the 5th, I think, highest GDP in the world and it should be used to put the hurt on those that only care for themselves.

What a misleading article. Newsome and CA has no control over federal ev credits. So EVs will not cost $7500 more in CA than elsewhere. Some states have additional state incentives that is what he's blocking for Tesla. Now there is a good chance the federal $7500 EV credit may go away for other reasons. But that would be nationwide. Not limited to CA
