Thanks to its 3D V-Cache technology, the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D promises impressive performance, in particular when gaming. Thanks to its modern Zen 5 architecture, the new 8-core processor supposedly also offers noticeably more performance outside of gaming. In our review, we have highlighted its strengths and weaknesses, and have analyzed how it compares to other high-end CPUs on the market.

Umm, how is this TSMC's problem?

AMD isn't using some bleeding edge node like used on iPhones. 4nm is old. There's plenty of capacity lol. If you aren't getting enough capacity, blame your beloved company that rather place more orders for data centre and server chips with TSMC, instead.

Where is the Ryzen 9 9950X in all the gaming benchmarks?  Why was it not included?  It was ahead is almost everything else, but curiously dropped from every single gaming benchmark listed?

Can we actually trust Notebook Check?

Does this mean that the combo "9800X3D + ASRock X870E Taichi" support USB4?
I only ask because the 9800X3D does not support USB4.
// Stefan

"All tests of the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D were carried out on the ASRock X870E Taichi. The recently introduced motherboards of the 800 chipset generation differ only slightly from their predecessors. The new flagship, the X870E, now always features USB4 and a wide range of USB 3.2 ports. In addition, a total of four M.2 SSDs can be accommodated on the mainboard."

Hey if they include the 9950x then they can't come up with any reason why Arrow Lake 285k is better... for example, they claim that the 285k is more efficient than 9800X3D and that AMD does not even come close. They don't mention that they meant only in multi-core workloads and not gaming. They also also fail to mention that 9950X is much faster than 285k in both gaming and multi-core while being more power efficient. So in conclusion, Arrow Lake is the best, if you ignore AMD exists at all.

amd = no buy at all. I don't want cpu that will burn with motherboard. Intel is much more reliable.

Looks like the things AMD associated itself with in gaming (Hell, Hot, Red, Fire, Lava, Devils, etc), became now reality on their chips...
