AI may have made development faster, but what other positive benefits can be gained by using Github's AI coding assistant, Copilot? With a study sample of 202 developers, GitHub set out to assess the readability, reliability, maintainability, and conciseness of code written with and without the help of Copilot.

The Werewolf

It's almost redundant to point this out, but Github is owned by Microsoft, which created and is marketing Copilot+, both of which are tightly (and HEAVILY) integrated into Visual Studio to the point that even if you don't want to use it and try to deactivate it - it's still in your face all the time.

So my gut suggests this study is pretty skewed.
