Apple's 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 SoC is expected to arrive sometime early next month. However, leaks and rumours surrounding the device continue to pour in, giving us a better look at what Apple has been cooking up.

Mr Majestyk

What a joke, this is a Pro model, even 28GB is pathetic. People are complaining you can only get 32GB max for Lunar Lake and that's a Mac Book Air competitor. Pro should offer up to 64GB at least, preferably 96GB.

SuperMajestic

macOS is not windows, it is highly optimised and RAM usage implementation is different as compared to a widows system.

Obviously it depends on what someone is doing and 96 GB might not make the cut on a laptop.
Some specialised task requires 2TB RAM to get started.

AlexZ

"highly optimized RAM usage" is a myth the only purpose of which is to be an excuse for the pathetic 8GB base model.
