The base variant of the new Surface Pro 11 has gone with an IPS display and the supposedly slower Snapdragon X Plus processor. In practice, you don't notice the lower performance but some constraints remain due to the ARM version of Windows.

"But, the big advantage is that there is no PWM flickering."

To me the big advantage of IPS screen is no risk of burn-in.

OLEDs are pretty when new, but how will they look after year or two?

Easy to forget, when always review new gear.

Of all the devices that have been included in the comparison, I clearly choose the MINISFORUM V3. I hope more manufacturers come out with similar products because I believe it is the best way to get the most out of artificial intelligence. For those who do not know MINISFORUM V3, type it into Google and read the comments.

Your aggressive bot advertising already works the other way and puts people off anything minisforum.

Agreed.
Starting to think to go the Geekom way instead of Minisforum for my next purchase.

I can easily sacrifice OLED from X Elite SP11 since I had several bad experiences with OLED panels. I could spend a bit more money to get the X Elite SP11, but I'm not planning to use the SP11 itself as my primary machine since my Intel NUC 11 Enthusiasts mini PC is still going strong. The SP11 will be more of my light travel companion.

The IPS Surface Pro 11 uses extremely high frequency PWM. I had to return it after a few days of use. Unless the manufacturer advertises DC dimming, I guarantee PWM-sensitive people are going to have trouble with a device, and that definitely includes the IPS SP11.
