As the fastest model, the Core Ultra 9 285K will feature 8 P-cores and 16 E-cores, followed by the Core Ultra 7 265K with 8 P-core and 12 E-cores, and the Core Ultra 5 245K with 6 P-core and 8 E-cores. There will also be KF variants with no iGPU for the  Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 5 processors. The iGPU side will only feature the Arc Alchemist solutions from Meteor Lake instead of the new Battlemage versions from Lunar Lake.

automatically self-destruct prior to purchase you mean...!?

13 -> 14: same happens with motorola screens, they automatically self-destruct and shatter prior to OS update to android 14 from 13

250W PL2? Intel what the FDLSKJF:SLJF are you doing? TDP should be 105W.

Intel P cores still run extremely hot unless you keep the clock speeds lower. It will take a whole different architecture (eg. E cores) to change that. If E cores keep getting higher IPC while maintaining conservative clocks, maximum TDP could be kept under 200W for a 100% E core design.

Didn't Gelsinger say he doesn't believe in P cores (presumably for future mainstream consumer chips)?

Intel's way out of this power/heat mess would be to improve E cores in order to rely on them for everything.

Ironically enough, we'd be back to having a single core type again.
