A developer has demonstrated that it is possible to reduce display flickering on the Google Pixel 8 Pro just through software mods. While the tweak does not eliminate PWM flickering altogether, it can mitigate unwanted effects by setting it as high as 4,800 Hz.

It's a good start. We need this in developer options. PWM and amplitude by brightness percentage. Make it open source and users can share the best settings.

The flashing light causes your pupils to constantly dilate. Which in turn causes eyestrain and fatigue.

If the display flashes less, or more quickly, or maintains an even brightness, then your pupils will not adjust. Very simple.
