Intel has confirmed it will show off its Lunar Lake laptop chips on September 3 via a livestream. It comes several weeks after Intel demoed the platform at Computex 2024.

The biggest intrigue will not be in their release (nobody cares about Lunar Lake), but in the fact that they are made entirely at TSMC, which means TSMC's pipelines will be tightly loaded, since the number of SoCs in the laptop market for Intel vs AMD is about 5:1. And this means that the old howls of some analysts (apparently at the instigation of AMD's management) that they physically cannot expand Zen production at TSMC due to their line load for years to come are not worth the effort.

However, AMD's quarterly report has just been released, from which it clearly follows that the profit from the CPU (desktop + laptops) + GPU chip sector is now much less than from data center equipment, since Instinct accelerators and server chips, on the fake excitement with the "AI" scam.

Thus, AMD is of little interest in the retail market in general. It remains a priority only for Intel for a simple reason - 75-80% of the market...

Well, I was thinking of buying the MINISFORUM V3
But I'm going to wait for Black Friday with the new Zen 5, where AMD will have all its production up and running and selling.
It's clear that the people behind the disaster of the Core13 and Core14 that burn out don't want to know anything about Intel and the most profitable option currently in price/performance is AMD
