Sharp unveiled the M Series projectors, their second collaboration with NEC. Designed for budget-conscious buyers, the M Series have a laser light source and DLP tech for minimal maintenance and long life. Sustainability is a major focus here, with a compact design, ECO Mode, and reduced packaging waste. The M Series claims to provide a user-friendly experience for the consumer.

Not everyone likes the rainbow (flicker) in 1xDLP projectors, and 3xDLP is monstrously expensive. Who wants a stable picture and no problems for the eyes, buy 3xLCD with reflection matrices. But 3xLCDs with reflection matrices and a laser source are also monstrously expensive even after more than 6 years... And there is no talk about 4k at all - the prices are like cars, this is complete madness.

And the funny thing is that there is nothing left to watch on projectors for a long time - Hollywood is dead, cinema is practically dead as a genre.

LMAO $1k for a 1080p projector... pffffffff!!  This kind of price you deserve/want at least a QHD (2560x1440) projector!

"Hollywood is dead, cinema is practically dead as a genre."

Maybe, but us Asians/Chinese are lucky.  It's only the past few years China got their shiet together and produced stuff with CGI rivaling Hollywood. It's also only the last few years you can watch TV shows in 4K from China.  It's also only the last few years you can find ENG subtitles for Chinese TV shows and movies because of a growing international audience.

For, me I actually have a backlog of TB's (Terabytes) of Chinese 3-D CGI anime, TV shows, and movies that I simply do NOT have enough time of day to watch!

Hollywood is DEAD, but the Dragon only has just risen...
