WhatsApp's iOS app could get new AirDrop-like file sharing feature

WhatsApp's iOS beta program is testing a new feature allowing users to share files with nearby contacts without needing an internet connection. This functionality, similar to a feature being tested for Android, aims to simplify sharing documents and media in situations with limited or unstable internet.  While the current iOS iteration involves users scanning a QR code, the final design and release date are still uncertain.
