An official support page has revealed the upcoming Meta Quest 3S will be able to easily switch to passthrough mode thanks to a new button specially made for this purpose. The page also confirms the  headset's official name.

Never thought the double tap on quest two was anyhow difficult to use. Otherwise, it works reliably for switching to pass through and back.
