Linus Tech Tips has called out AMD for misleading customers with confusing product names. In the YouTube video, Linus highlights how AMD and other companies have been trying to make their offerings more appealing with numbers and words that don't accurately reflect the performance the products can offer.

10jul2024 nbc article: amd reportedly plans to launch new hawk point apu with good price-to-performance ratio

answer: creating more climate marketing change trash...when already 7840hs does about the same job as 8845hs, just with slightly lower tdp and without npu

and how are you going to name this new hawk point as 8840hs already exists; 8845hsn (n for no-npu)?

8845hs should have not been named as such as linus tech trips points out

just move trash to strix point, and make them even cheaper than hawk point; together with renaming ceo!

I usually find that price usually equals performance and since I'm ALWAYS on a tight budget, I buy only what I can afford which is not much these days.

You can call out both companies for their naming shlitshow and useless refreshes. Same as 14th Intel series is the same as 13th series. No one needs these "refreshes" that bring no benefits whatsoever.

You can also call out Linus Tech Tips for making a new video for every little flyspeck.

Let's be honest - they're all behaving ridiculously. Kindergartenclownworld...
