Apple and Google are launching a tool to facilitate migration between iCloud and Google Photos

Apple and Google are allowing users to directly move photo libraries between Google Photos and iCloud Photos. This rollout utilizes the Data Transfer Project (DTP), an open-source initiative that simplifies data migration across online services. The collaboration is expected to be rolled out within a week and will offer users greater control over their online photo collections.
