LGs Gram Notebooks sind flach und leicht. Unter LG Gram Pro bringt der Hersteller nun Laptops auf den Markt, die dem ganzen die Krone aufsetzen. Noch Flacher, noch leichter und mit höherer Leistungsbereitschaft kommen die neuen Laptops.

Es ist eine Schande, dass sich LG in den letzten zwei bis drei Jahren nicht für AMD entschieden hat. Dies hat zu Umsatzrückgängen und anhaltenden Ausfällen bei seinen Laptops geführt, die aufgrund des übermäßigen Verbrauchs und der von den Prozessoren erzeugten Wärme sehr dünn und klein sind. Intel.
Es gibt Gerüchte, dass die Exklusivität von LG an Intel zu großen Verlusten führt, hoffentlich erkennt LG im Jahr 2024 den neuen AMD ZEN 5 und setzt darauf

All Intel processors here should be the 7840U with much higher performance (compare its 12k points in the AIDA64 Ray-Trace64 test and the pitiful, less than 4k points of the 155H).

Memory latency is simply monstrous, it is impossible to replace it.

 The laptop immediately turns on the coolers and does not turn them off, due to the low weight of the radiators and the high consumption of Intel processors.

In addition, that useless 3050, which even in games, when TDP is clamped to normal (for a laptop) values, turns into a pathetic runt.

In fact, this is a completely pointless model to buy.

LG needs to switch to AMD processors and stop creating Frankensteins in a 16" case with a keyboard that is broken in terms of numpad, and make a classic one - there is enough space there. And return to semi-matte, flicker-free IPS with a contrast of 1500: 1+ - this is generally more than enough for any purpose except for movies in complete darkness, but it is unlikely that the owner will watch movies on such a laptop in complete darkness.

Schon bei der Ankündigung dieses Modells habe ich mich gefragt, warum LG ausgerechnet die 3050 mit 4 GB VRAM hier verbaut. Macht irgendwie keinen Sinn. Eine APU mit relativ starker iGPU wie hier die i7 Meteor Lake 155H hat schon so einigermaßen gute Grafikleistung. Um  dann wirklich einen deutlichen Mehrwert von einer dGPU zu bekommen, sollte (u.a.) das VRAM mindestens  8 GB groß sein. Und Ampere GPUs wie hier verbaut sind leider dafür bekannt, daß sie gerne viel Strom ziehen (Wärme entwickeln). Anstatt den Gram Pro wie jetzt nur im Bündel mit dem externen Monitor für ~ € 2000 UVP anzubieten, hätte LG besser daran getan, ihren externen Monitor zu behalten, und für den UVP wenigstens eine mobile 4050 zu verbauen.  Damit wäre das Gesamtpaket deutlich besser gewesen. Aber, zu spät.  Vielleicht wird's was mit Lunar Lake?
